Large Number of Pilgrims Visit Imam Ali Holy Shrine on Hazrat Zahra Martyrdom Anniversary
Pilgrims from across Iraq and other countries have traveled to the holy city to mourn the sad occasion at the mausoleum of Imam Ali (AS).
Haidar al-Isawi, head of the committee for organizing the activities of the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship), said the Astan has prepared and is implementing an integrated plan for hosting the pilgrims.
He said a Moukeb (pavilion in which food, drink, or other services are offered) has been set up to serve the pilgrims.
There are also makeshift bases offering health and medical services, he noted.
The Astan is also holding mourning rituals and cultural and ideological programs, al-Isawi went on to say.
